I'm so glad I hadn't quite given up on my Tevion!ĮDIT: Updated link, since Waltop Corp. I was seriously considering upgrading to a wacom at some point (although I don't really have the money). It's so so nice having my tablet working properly. If you gave up on your tablet because of pen jumping issues, I don't have any with this latest driver and I'm running windows 7 64 bit. The pressure sensitivity is also vastly improved over the older driver.
It's so much smoother than the driver I was using before (which was actually a driver for a different tablet, but it solved pen jumping issues that I was having). You'll need to choose the right driver for your system. The latest drivers for the Aiptek 12000U can be found here: It's the 'Joy graphic tablet' at the bottom. Both names are rebranded names of the same tablet, which is actually an Aiptek 12000U, made by Waltop. The Tevion MD41217 tablet was also sold under the name Medion MD 41217. I know other people were also having pen jumping problems.
This is a big problem, because it made the tablet useless for drawing with (and it was difficult colouring too). When I was drawing with my tablet, my drawings were stretched because the tablet was forcing it's active area to fill the whole of my widescreen. I think I've found a driver that solves the aspect ratio problems I was having with my old Tevion MD 41217 tablet.įor those not in the know with computer jargon, my laptop is widescreen and my tablet is about the same ratio as an old big CRT monitor, 4:3 ratio (or is it 3:4? lol I can never remember).
